What Is It?
PRF is a completely natural treatment that comes from your own blood. We start by drawing some of your blood, and then we put it in a centrifuge, where it is spun to separate the plasma. This plasma is then re-injected into specific areas, depending on our reason for using it. Since it comes from your own blood, it is very safe.
Healing
PRF has important benefits in regeneration of cellular tissue and healing. We use it for larger procedures, such as full mouth extractions or implant surgeries. This technique helps you heal much more quickly and with better results.
Anti-Aging
Using a microneedling device, we offer medical-grade facials that, over time, can help reduce wrinkling. We may recommend PRF in conjunction with Botox® to help reintroduce collagen and give you a more youthful appearance.
It’s important to be well-hydrated before we draw your blood, so we recommend drinking plenty of water the day before your procedure, as well as staying away from alcohol and smoking. The blood draw is a simple procedure, exactly the same as when you have blood drawn for medical testing.
Patients who are medically compromised or on blood thinners are often not candidates for PRF treatment, so we will talk with you about your health history and any medication you’re taking before we make treatment recommendations.
Most insurance does not cover PRF treatment at this time. However, we offer a range of payment options, including financing with CareCredit® and Lending Club.
