New Patients at Welleby Family Dental
Our caring Welleby Family Dental team is looking forward to welcoming you! When you come in for your first visit, we ask that you bring your ID, your insurance card and a method of payment. If you’ve completed your new patient paperwork online, great! If not, you’ll be able to complete the forms in our office.
Your First Visit
When you arrive, our friendly patient care coordinators will greet you and help you feel comfortable and welcome. We value your time, so we do our best to minimize any waiting time.
Then your dental assistant will bring you back and talk to you about your reason for coming in—whether it’s a checkup, a second opinion or an emergency. Based on your situation, we’ll take appropriate X-rays.
Then Dr. Juma will come in and talk with you more in depth about your reason for coming in. She’ll chart all of your existing restorations so she has complete records, and then conduct the appropriate examination for your needs. She’ll let you know her findings and discuss various options for addressing any problems. She’ll explain the pros and cons of the alternatives available to you, and answer any of your questions.
Once you have decided on your treatment plan, our patient care coordinators will go over costs and payment options.

Our patient care coordinators will verify your insurance and let you know what your out of pocket investment will be. One thing that sets us apart is that we don’t make recommendations based on what your insurance will cover—our goal is to help you have a healthier mouth and, therefore, better overall health and wellbeing. We’ll recommend the care that you actually need, and we’ll do our best to help ensure that the care you need is affordable.
Payment Options
We are in-network with most major insurance plans, such as Liberty, Argus, Humana, Aetna, Guardians, BC/BS and Medicare. We also accept all major credit cards, and we offer financing through CareCredit® and Lending Club.
